Family Photography: an extended family celebrated how it should be - naturally.

Photographing a grandfather’s 80th birthday celebrations with 4 generations present has got to be up there with my favourite occasions to shoot. Or do I say this about all of them?

In this case though, to see a man being so loved and so celebrated and respected really was quite moving. So here is Alec, 80 years old, telling his family how much he is proud of them and how much he loves them.

Surely moments like these are what life is about, right?

And as usual, my images aim to celebrate the magic and the chaos, the funny and the poignant as well as providing more stand alone candid portraits that we may want to hang on our walls. Because after all, whilst story telling is important, printing, framing and hanging images is essential to really appreciate them.
