The Farmhouse at Redcoats Wedding photography: A New Year’s Eve Wedding done right…

Well… I have to say that shooting a wedding on New Year’s Eve is probably the best way of spending a NYE as a photographer. And if you’re thinking of getting married in 2024 or beyond… choosing NYE as your wedding day is a spectacular idea… because you are giving all your guests a start to a New Year like no other. How many of us struggle on a yearly basis to come up with a half good idea of what to do on NYE and often end up a little disappointed? Celebrating a wedding on that day is the perfect antidote…

I have photographed weddings a few times at Redcoats and I can say wholeheartedly that this venue is one of my faves in Herts. And it is one of my faves for many reasons (the incredible setting, the food, their insanely high standards etc), but the main reason why I love it there is… well… its staff… who basically could not do more for all the guests including the suppliers working with them. If you ever want a very reliable test of how good a venue is… just try to get an idea of how they treat wedding suppliers. A venue who charges its suppliers to do their job is a big red flag (yes it does happen!)… but a venue, like Redcoats, who welcomes suppliers like me with coffee in the morning and a decent greeting gets my vote every time.

As usual, here are a few photographs of the time I spent with my couple and their guests. A huge amount of energy, tenderness, laughter and love on that day…. very much how I love my weddings. Remember that regardless of what you plan for your big day, you can’t go wrong with that combination!

And if you are planning your wedding and are looking for a relaxed photographer who loves to challenge herself in delivering creative compositions, then we might be a great fit. Get in touch to check my availability and ask for a quote.
