Chelsea Wedding Photography: Where community is everything

From John & Marisja…

“We are just overjoyed with everything we see. I love the timeline. It was particularly special for me watching the day begin with Marisja's getting ready and to move through the whole event shot by shot. You said you are all about capturing the moments, and you absolutely nailed it.

I'd also like to let you know how highly many guests have spoken of you personally and to extend my deepest thanks for being an incredible addition to our special day. I know I speak for both Marisja and I when I say we simply could not have picked a better photographer.”

I could sum John and Marisja up with one word: community. Community is everything to them. So much so that they wanted their reception to take place in the local community space in Chelsea which was still being built. But they transformed it and turned it into something totally magical and totally “them”. And I guess that’s what’s the most important about a day like a wedding day. You can do away with any traditions that don’t suit you, your beliefs or traditions and hang to those who do. It’s your blank canvas and no-one else’s.

This wedding took place on the hottest day of the year (by that point) peaking at 33 degrees… and so I apologise if some of the guests look a bit red… Despite the extreme heat, we all had such a genuinely amazing time with decent, kind, laugh-out loud and hug-tight people. My kinda people.

Are you getting married in the next year and looking for a wedding photographer? Do you know already what kind of images move you? The ones you can imagine on your wall or in album? Because I guess there are two criteria to choosing your wedding photographer: a) can you imagine their images on your walls and b) do you have a good connection with them? For me, those two are the most important.

Connecting with you and telling your story, yours alone and not delivering images that could belong to any wedding but yours only, that is what I care most about. If that sounds about right, why not get in touch.
