Islington Wedding Photography: When veils don’t behave…

I know this is going to sound so selfish but I completely love a wet and windy day on a wedding day. Actually scrap that, I love any weather, purely because there are so many positives from a photographer’s point of view whatever the weather. And the great thing about rain is that it makes people behave in all sorts of very impulsive ways. Wind, is ever better … especially when veils and kilts are worn.

I only spent a few hours with this couple in and around Islington. I do truly love that area of London. There is still a bit of buzz about it but also fabulous backdrops typical of the city.

Becky and David are parents of two little pickles and on their wedding day, they took time off from parenting and decided to celebrate… well… them, for once. I met Becky at home first for the finishing touches, then we headed to Islington Town Hall to meet her groom and her guests. Half an hour later, we were out again on the steps for a fabulous windy confetti shot, a 30 min walk around the area for a relaxed portrait session… then finally off to a local restaurant Trullo for their intimate reception.
