Central London Wedding Elopement Photography: recreating an album cover…

What I love the most about my job is that no wedding I do is the same. No client I work with is the same. No circumstances I deal with are the same. I couldn’t cope with working with the same type of people all time at the same venues producing the same type of images every single shoot. Instead, give me a bridal party that will teach me something about life, about their story and about how we work as humans. That, yes, I love.

So when Jason and Michelle got in touch to say they wanted to get married and have just their two sons present, I was delighted. A very small ceremony took place at The Home Grown Club in Marble Arch, we then eloped to Abbey Road nearby and recreated the album of cover of one of Jason' (and I)s favourite albums…

I tell you why I love “out of the box” weddings like these… because I get to forge insanely meaningful connections with the people I work, even if only for a few hours.

So here you are, a handful of images from my time with Jason, Michelle, Louis and Joe. A family that have an incredible bond with each other - two sons who couldn’t be happier for their two parents.

“Our elopement wedding with our two sons was a magical experience. Emily's sensitive, holistic approach enhanced it and her terrific photos left us with a wonderful record of the day. Emily 'got us' straight away. She was with us through the afternoon, but kept almost invisible, so the photos came naturally - even the posed ones. We had the idea to recreate an iconic Beatles image. Emily used all her photographer's crowd control skills to clear the crossing, leaving us with the perfect closing image for the day.”
